Project Manager

Job Responsibilities

-Monitoring implementation of projects (including master support budget and coordinating input for donor proposals and reports) in north Syria in coordinating with grant manager, in compliance with contractual commitments (i.e. quality, synergies, timeliness, use of resources) under the supervise of program coordinator.
– Coordinating staff and internal resources
– Managing project progress and adapting work as required.
– Ensuring projects reports meet deadlines.
– Managing relationships with donors and stakeholders
– Designing and signing off on contracts
– Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
– Participating in tender processes i.e., design, submission, and review
– Designing risk mitigation plan
– Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
– Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
– Securing growth opportunities and initiating new projects
– Managing large and diverse teams-
– Ensure all projects are managed according to donor guidance, especially in relation to implementation, budget management, procurement and close out, coordinating with financial, grant, logistic managers.
– Make regular field visits to Syrian border side, Supervise and coordinate the implementation of activities in the IDA centers, including the daily, weekly and monthly activities and collaborative activities with other sectors and actors,
– Ensure activities run according to minimum standards and best practices and are appropriate for the context.
– Perform other job-related duties as requested by the supervisor
– Strictly adhere to humanitarian and protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including the Code of Conduct, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Child Protection

Academic Qualifications:
-Academic Certificate or equivalent in medical field (doctor -Pharmacist).
-Minimum Four years of experience as health manager in NGO organization.
– Experience working within a humanitarian context.
– Experience of activities relating to specific sectors of humanitarian work.
– Fluency in English and Arabic is essential, both written and verbal.
– Good IT skills, including Excel and Word.
– Knowledge of the context in North-West of Syria.
– Experience of working with local partners.
