IDA is one of the main nutrition active partners in the NWS
With over 41 nutrition centers integrated into
IDA health facilities and in partnership with UNICEF and WFP, IDA became the main nutrition service
provider in North Aleppo and Idlib through CMAM, IYCF, RRT, and Community awareness.
All IDA nutrition services are aligned with protection and health support to ensure the integration of
IDA nutrition program package includes: Community raising awareness, MUAC screening, CMAM
package of management, IYCF, IMCI, and these packages enable IDA to provide nutrition services
from the community level of screening and prevention, to the CMAM package by managing MAM,
SAM, and SAM with complications in 2 major stabilizations centers in NWS.
RRTs are part of IDA nutrition response, in several hard-to-reach areas, along with MIYCN
(maternity, infants, young children, and neonatal care mobile teams). OTP centers integrated into
health facilities, SCs integrated into the inpatient pediatric healthcare in hospitals, in addition to
recent intervention as a pilot project in cash for nutrition.
