The Health Program is the sole of IDA work in NWS

this is a developed program including primary
healthcare, secondary healthcare, and specialized services in terms of blood banks, physical rehabilitation,
and other related services.
All health programs are implemented in accordance with high-quality procedures, WHO and UN agencies’
standards and protocols, and up-to-date medical protocols.
IDA, through networking and its partnerships with several INGOs and UN agencies, succeeded in achieving
sustainable core health facilities in very difficult conditions and chronic emergency context.
In the past two years, IDA spread further wide by being part of national-based coordination networks,
leading the Afrin district primary health network, and being one of the active partners in other networks
that cover the majority of NWS.
All IDA-supported facilities provide integrated packages in health, nutrition, and protection services.
All IDA facilities depend on the principles of gender mainstreaming, people with disabilities-friendly
procedures, Child protection principles, and GBV prevention procedures.
Most of the supported facilities are in camps, which target the IDPs as the most vulnerable category of the
population.
